A sales funnel is an analytical tool that helps you understand the path a customer takes from realizing a need to buying a product. What doubts arise for them and what guides them when making a decision.
Understanding all these steps, you will be able to control the customer's behavior and stimulate their interest in buying.
In marketing there is a consumer behavior model called AIDA, which describes the steps a person takes before making a purchase:
Attention – the consumer learns about a new product through advertising, recommendations from friends, social networks and so on.
Interest – after getting to know a new product or service, the consumer becomes interested in the product.
Desire – at this stage interest in the product turns into a desire to buy it.
Action – the desire grows into active action, that is, a purchase is made.

Note that the funnel narrows: out of 100 people, 10-20 will reach a purchase, and that is normal. Your goal is to understand at which stage the largest number of potential buyers is lost and which holes you should patch.
By creating content that matches the buyer's needs at each stage, you can, as it were, move a potential customer down the sales funnel, nudging them toward a purchase. That is why it is so important to understand how potential buyers move through the sales funnel.
With skillful use of content marketing you can help potential customers make a choice in your favor.
